Kingman - Arizona Last Stop - Las Vegas
Bullets and Burgers - the American dream! And that was the place we were heading to. Or that was the plan at least. At Arizona Last Stop (you guessed right, the last place before the Arizona/Nevada state line) we planned to get a half day off to pursue the - some say REAL - American dream. Everybody from 8 years up has the chance to enjoy a, admitedly, delicious burger while waiting to be the next on the shooting range.
However there was one small, actually two, small problems for us. Firstly, no camping ground anywhere near that place - it's literally in the middle of nowhere - and secondly the price which comes realizing the American dream. Who knew that shooting some rifles can be that costly?! As we had no plan on selling our souls we settled for one half of the promised Bullets and Burgers.... the Burgers. And sadly walked away from a day of fun for the whole family.
As we had quite some luck with the wind we made the first 70km in under 2 1/2 hours and therefore decided to continue heading towards Sin City. Driving at an average speed of close to 30km/h the time and distance just flew by and suddenly we where at the Hoover Dam. After a short break at Boulder City, recarbing - thank you Steven and Andy for the support (we hope we still have the names right) - we were once again hitting the road to reach our final destination of the day.
When arriving we literally rode into the Circus Circus hotel lobby. And dove into the vibrant atmosphere of Las Vegas.
